A big-league experience in northwest Indiana
The U. S. Steel Yard is home to the Gary SouthShore RailCats baseball team, northwest Indiana's only professional sports franchise. The RailCats entertain the region by providing fun, affordable baseball entertainment to fans of all ages. Fans won't have to pay more than $10 for a ticket and parking is always free. The U. S. Yard is considered one of the top minor league ballparks in the country; it features 18 luxury suites, three party decks, a large picnic area, a kid's playground, merchandise store, large video scoreboard and seating for more than 6,000 of the RailCats' loudest fans!
This season, the RailCats are offering the following weekly specials: Dollar Monday: Buy one ticket and get one for $1; $1 concession specials Free Pizza Tuesday: Buy a regular priced reserved/box ticket, get a free slice of pizza Wing It Wednesday: 50 cent wings located inside the Diamond Club Thirsty Thursday: $1 Miller Lite or Miller Genuine Draft beer Fireworks Friday: Post-game fireworks extravaganza Souvenir Saturday: Premium giveaways Times Family Sunday: Four tickets/hotdogs/pops for $36 with coupon and kids run the bases after the game and players will sign autographs on the field.
The RailCats have also introduced a new picnic package that\'a0starts 90 minutes before the first pitch with all-inclusive ballpark hot dogs, chicken (fried), baked beans, potato salad, pasta salad, hamburgers and cookies (available until first pitch). Menu includes beer, wine, soft drinks, two side items and dessert. The RailCats accommodate groups of all sizes and offer special group pricing and fundraising opportunities.
