TV Listings ::
Get your TV information online

There's a whole new way for you to get information about your favorite television shows, movies and sporting events. With our new online TV guide, you can easily find out when all of the programs you don't want to miss are on in your area. But this new resource offers so much more than just program listings.

Along with video previews of your favorite shows, with our online guide you can search for programs staring your favorite actors, keep tabs on when college and professional sports teams are playing and even write reviews of films and TV shows to share with others.

Below you will find a simple step-by-step guide on how to use the online Sun-Times News Group television guide powered by MeeVee.

STEP 1
Click here to view tv listings or select one of the following urls:
STEP 2
Become a member. This free service allows you to customize TV listings based on where you live, what kind of television service you have and your viewing interests. Click on the menu bar at the top of the page labeled "Become a Member." A new page should appear, instructing you to fill out a number of information fields, including your name and e-mail address. When you're finished, click on the "Sign me Up!" bar at the bottom of the screen.
STEP 3
What is your Zip code? Channel guides change based on where you live and what kind of television service you have. Cable subscribers, for example, might have a different channel lineup than satellite television subscribers. On the right-hand side of the screen highlighted in yellow and underlined, you will find the word "Change?" Drag your cursor over the word and click once. A new window should appear, directing you to type in your Zip code. When finished, click on the box labeled "Update zip." Now you will need to choose your television service - either cable (digital or analog), satellite or broadcast (antenna). Find the service and company nearest to you and click on the corresponding circle along the left-hand side of the page. Your hometown might not appear as one of the choices (In Aurora, for example, choose the Oswego Comcast location). Finish your selections by clicking on the red box labeled "Next" at the bottom of the screen. Your local television guide should appear on the screen.
STEP 4
What to watch? The guide automatically shows you what's on TV right now. To find out what's on later in the day, drag your cursor to the pull-down time menu at the top of the guide. Click on the down arrow and choose from any time throughout the day. The date pull-down menu allows you to see what's on tomorrow or even next week, and the category pull-down menu allows you to see listings for movies, sports, children's programming and other topics.
HELP, I'M STILL LOST
At the top, right-hand side of the Web page you should find a yellow box labeled "TV Listings Help." Click on this to find a menu of frequently asked questions.

FAVORITES

Every program listed in the guide is accompanied by a heart logo. Find your favorite program and click on the clear logo. It should turn red.

At the top of the TV listings, you'll find a menu bar labeled "My Guide (Watchlist)." When you click on "My Guide," a pull-down box will appear showing you when your favorite shows will air. You can add as many shows to your Watchlist as you want. Another way to find programs you might want to watch is to utilize the "Interests" section of the page, located at the top left-hand side. By clicking on the red "Add Interest" button, you can keep tabs on when shows staring your favorite actors will air or when the Cubs or White Sox play, for example. Choose from the categories along the top of the page and click on the shows that interest you. Be sure to click the red "Save and Close" box when finished. Your selections should now appear under your Watchlist.
