ComEd announced the launch Monday of a new mobile application for smart phones and an interactive outage map.
The free mobile app will allow ComEd customers to report outages, check when power will be restored, view their account and make payments, according to a press release.
The outage map appears on the ComEd website and will allow customers to report outages as well as view all ComEd outages, the release said. The color-coded map will be updated every 30 minutes with information about when power will be restored.
The mobile app is offered on iPhone and Android phones.
