The latest Google Easter Egg will have you battling for your search results.
As users discovered this morning, a Google search of the phrase ‘Zerg Rush’ releases flying O’s from the Google logo which slowly eat your search results if not clicked on.
If you are unable to click and destroy the O’s fast enough, the multiplying O’s will eventually take over your screen and form two giant G’s -- Google wins the game and the battle over workplace productivity for the day.
The term Easter Egg refers to search result surprises Google likes to spring on its users. This winter a ‘Let It Snow’ Easter Egg had virtual snowflakes bluster across users’ screens.
The ‘Zerg Rush’ Easter Egg seems to be based on the popular real-time strategy game StarCraft. In the game, players are urged to prevent the alien Zerg race from spreading.
