Jen Kuba of Tinley Park hoists a pair of nice hybrid striped bass caught from Heidecke Lake on Sunday.

‘‘They were both caught on a red Model A Bomber crankbait on the riprap shore,’’ Erik Crichton e-mailed. ‘‘The fish on the right weighed in at just over 7 pounds, and the one on the left was just about 6 pounds. Jen’s one of the most intense anglers I’ve ever met in my life. She always catches fish, no matter what the scenario.
I hope that these two beasts are what you’re looking for.’’
