Gov. Quinn: Olympic joke not funny
Indiana Gov. Daniels had said Chicago 'can't fix an election any more'
Gov. Quinn had three words today for Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels: “Hardy har har.”
That was Quinn’s reaction to Daniels, who had joked about what the world was coming to when Chicago “can’t fix an election any more,” referring to the city’s failure to snag the Olympics.
Chicago lost its bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics when the International Olympic Committee voted Friday to award the games to Rio de Janeiro. Chicago was eliminated in the first round of voting.
Quinn, who was in Copenhagen for the IOC vote, said Chicago had an excellent bid.
