Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said that any further concern about his contract extension that was still unsigned as of last week can now be put to rest.
Asked if he put his name on the contract, he replied, “I have.’’
“It never was an issue,’’ Thibodeau said. “I don’t know how it became an issue. As I mentioned, the lawyers had it. They were changing language and stuff. Quite honestly, I wasn’t paying attention to it. It was done in October.’’
Thibodeau agreed to the four-year, $17.5 million contract extension that the Bulls announced way back in an Oct. 1 new conference, but hadn’t signed it until this past week.
