Michael Jordan, the iconic athlete who popularized baggy shorts on the basketball court, was reportedly banned from an exclusive Miami Beach golf club for refusing to change out of his cargo pants.
Playing with a member at La Gorce Country Club, Jordan apparently flouted a dress code by wearing multi-pocketed pants, according to a report in the New York Post. The former Bulls superstar was asked to adhere to club attire — bermuda shorts — during the round but continued to play in pants, the report said. A source told the Post he will not be invited back.
The country club did not comment.
