As cliched as it might sound, sports teaches character and teamwork. It’s about overcoming setbacks, turning defeat into ... hookups?
Moments after Barack Obama won re-election for President on Tuesday night, Philadelphia 76ers forward Lavoy Allen, a Mitt Romney backer, tried to make the most of the loss by consoling a fellow supporter, actress Stacey Dash.
The 23-year-old Temple grad sent a heartfelt tweet to the 45-year-old “Clueless” star: “@REALStaceyDash don’t worry we will get through this together, if you need a shoulder to cry on I’m only a phone call away.”
Not sure if the phone call or any direct messages ever materialized, but Dash did seem to find closure, summoning up this classic sports cliche: “Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan. You fought the Good Fight and I am proud! @MittRomney@RepPaulRyan”
