Bears’ Jay Cutler hopes for a turnover — he’s voting Romney

It’s no secret that Jay Cutler shuns media attention at almost every turn and, by most accounts, would be characterized as a ‘‘private person.’’ That’s why it was surprising when the Bears quarterback agreed to appear regularly on ESPN-1000’s ‘‘Waddle & Silvy’’ this season.
Credit the Bears’ 7-1 start or the laid-back approach of the show, but Cutler really seems to have found his comfort zone.
In fact, on Monday he revealed one of his innermost beliefs — his choice for president.
When pressed by co-host Tom Waddle for his vote, Cutler said, ‘‘That’s a touchy subject. I have been following the debates and everything. I do live in Tennessee. I’m voting for Mitt [Romney] this election season.’’
Cutler quickly turned the question on his hosts. Waddle was in agreement with Cutler, while co-host Marc Silverman said, ‘‘I’m voting for the president.’’
