Beyonce’s not a kid anymore.
But when it comes to Super Bowl halftime show headliners, she is.
The 31-year-old pop star will be the headliner at this year’s big game in New Orleans, according to the Associated Press.
Her selection reverses a geriatric rocker trend that started after Janet Jackson’s infamous “wardrobe malfunction” at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004.
Since then, the average age of a halftime headliner is 55.
Here’s a look at each Super Bowl headliner since 2005 and their age when they hit the stage:
Super Bowl XXXIX: Paul McCartney, 62
Super Bowl XL: The Rolling Stones (Mick Jagger, 62)
Super Bowl XLI: Prince, 48
Super Bowl XLII: Tom Petty, 57
Super Bowl XLIII: Bruce Springsteen, 59
Super Bowl XLIV: The Who (Pete Townshend, 64)
Super Bowl XLV: The Black Eyed Peas (Fergie, 35)
Super Bowl XLVI: Madonna, 53
