Citi Field becomes Shave Stadium

Former Mets All-Star Keith Hernandez shaved his whiskers before the Pirates-Mets game Thursday. As part of the event, Hernandez and Schick Hydro partnered to donate $10,000 to the Jacquellyn Hernandez Adult Day Health Center, which is named for Hernandez’s mother.
Hernandez, who hadn’t shaved his ’stache in 25 years, was ready for a new look.
“I want to thank all my fans who supported my mustache over the years, but it’s time for it to take a backseat and give my upper lip some time to shine,” Hernandez told MLB.com. USA Today
