At sun-kissed Oak Street Beach on Sunday, Jenny Kropp (right) and Whitney Pavlik bask in the glow of their third consecutive title in the Jose Cuervo Pro Beach Volleyball Series. The top seeds rallied from a three-point deficit late in the second set and from four behind down the stretch in the third to win the women’s final of the Chicago Open over Tyra Turner and Priscilla Lima 20-22, 21-19, 15-13. Casey Patterson and 7-1 Ryan Doherty, a former Notre Dame All-American relief pitcher, claimed the men’s title by defeating Ty Tramblie and Avery Drost in the final 21-23, 21-19, 15-10.
