Taj Gibson’s dunk takes the cake

One of the biggest highlights of Taj Gibson’s career came when he posterized the Heat’s Dwyane Wade in the 2011 playoffs. That moment has now been immortalized in cake.
Gibson, who turned 27 on Sunday, was given a basketball birthday cake topped by edible figures showing the Bulls forward dunking on Wade. The $500 cake was a gift from Gibson’s longtime friend Floyd ‘‘F-Sharp’’ Johnson and was made by Tipsycake on North Damen Avenue.
Johnson said Gibson took the first piece, a part of the ball. Wade’s figure was eaten, but Johnson said he spoke to Wade’s friends and got their blessing before ordering the cake.“They even had [Taj] all the way down to his goatee,’’ Johnson said.
