HOUSTON — Center Steve Reinprecht and right wing Mark Mancari scored 26 seconds apart — part of a string of three unanswered goals — as the Wolves overcame a third-period deficit to beat the Houston Aeros 4-2 on Friday night at the Toyota Center.
The victory kept the Wolves (39-26-3-3) in first place in the AHL’s Midwest Division with 84 points and gives them a chance to wrap up their 15th playoff bid Saturday night at Oklahoma City.
Center Jordan Schroeder scored in the second period, and forward Darren Haydar added an insurance goal with 31 seconds left in the third. Reinprecht had two assists.
Wolves goalie Matt Climie (20-10-0) won for the 10th time in 16 starts since the start of 2012.
