Brian Willsie’s power-play goal at 9:28 of the third period lifted the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 3-2 victory over the Wolves on Saturday night at Allstate Arena. The loss snapped the Wolves’ three-game winning streak, but they stayed in first place in the Midwest Division.
Tim Miller and Mike Duco scored for the Wolves (36-25-2-3), who rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to tie the score.
“Tonight is one of those learning lessons on how to win hockey games,” Wolves coach Craig MacTavish said. “Hamilton played hard and so did we, but we didn’t play smart enough to win this game.”
