NHL sets team payroll ranges

The NHL has set the team payroll range for the 2012-2013 season, the league announced on Thursday.
The ranges are as follows according to the collective bargaining agreement: a lower limit of $54.2
million; an adjusted midpoint of $62.2 million; and, an upper limit of $70.2
million.
