John Anderson to return as Wolves coach

Updated: July 10, 2013 1:24PM

By Wolves standards, winning only two playoff games over the last two seasons is a monumental disappointment.

So in effort to return the organization to prominence the team is going to bring back John Anderson as its coach, a team source told the Sun-Times. The team is expected to make an official announcement Tuesday.

Anderson previously won four championships with the team over 11 seasons as coach. He guided the Wolves to the playoffs in 10 of those 11 seasons.

Most recently Anderson spent two seasons as an assistant on the Phoenix Coyotes staff. Prior to that he spent two seasons as the head coach of the Atlanta Thrashers head coach.
