Safety Danieal Manning keeps making plays for the Texans. Manning intercepted a Drew Brees pass and returned it 22 yards late in the third quarter to set up a touchdown drive that gave the Texans a 26-17 lead over the Saints early in the third quarter.
Unfortunately, Manning contributed to the Texans’ undoing with a personal foul when he led with his helmet after tight end Jimmy Graham caught a 28-yard pass to the Texans’ 13 with 2:47 left and Houston leading 33-32. Mark Ingram scored on the next play to give the Saints a 40-33 lead.
