Former Bears center Olin Kreutz has signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.

Kreutz will make close to $4 million in total, although agent Mark Bartelstein said his client had more lucrative offers

“This wasn’t about the money,” Bartelstein said. “There were two other teams that offered considerably more (than the Saints).”

Kreutz was excited to join the Saints because they welcomed him and they are projected to vie for the NFC title.
