Cowboys likely looking at Rivera
MIAMI -- Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera is believed to be a target of interest for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
While Norv Turner, the brother of Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner, remains the front-runner to replace Bill Parcells as the Cowboys' head coach, Jones is expected to conduct two more interviews. Those could take place as soon as today, with Jones expected to make an announcement this week.

''I hope to talk to Jerry Jones,'' Rivera said after the game. ''It would be a great opportunity.''

Indianapolis Colts quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell is believed to be the other candidate, but Jones cannot say whom he wishes to speak with.
Rivera has interviewed for four head-coaching vacancies this winter and has been in the running for six in the last two years. If he does not get the Dallas job, there is speculation the Cowboys will make a run at him to become their defensive coordinator.
Rivera's contract is expiring, and the Bears have a potential replacement in place in linebackers coach Bob Babich.
That's just another reason why the Bears would be unlikely to match the deep pockets of Jones, who is at the opposite end of the spectrum when it comes to paying coaches than those at Halas Hall. Jones has said he is not married to the 3-4 defense the Cowboys have been running.
Though Jones is reported to prefer Norv Turner at this point, Rivera thinks he can wow Jones, given the chance.
''They've got a nice core,'' Rivera said. ''I think taking what we do and implementing it there would be very dynamic.''
