The Bears' march to Super Bowl XLI
It wasn't hard with Kyle Orton kicking back at media day Tuesday in a chair in the corner of Dolphin Stadium next to teammate Brian Griese wearing a No. 18 jersey, the same number the Indianapolis Colts quarterback wears. Orton -- in a Bears uniform, of course -- has been charged with assuming the role of Manning in the Colts' up-tempo offense in practice with the scout team.
That doesn't mean Orton has been going through all of the bells and whistles before the snap that Manning does to confuse the defense and often to change plays just before the snap.
"Not any of the pre-snap stuff," Orton said. "You can get all of that stuff on film, and [defensive coordinator Ron Rivera] hasn't asked me to do any of that. I just try to do what Ron wants me to do and throw the ball where he thinks it's going to be thrown."
