Aaron Rodgers may have had the Bears’ number in recent years, but that doesn’t mean the Superfans are letting him off easy.
In a new State Farm commercial, the Packers QB boards a plane and thinks he has the window seat until he hears a familiar, exaggerated Chicago accent say, “You better double-check that, my friend.”
Superfans Carl and Bob, played by Robert Smigel and George Wendt, tell Rodgers they know he’s the “Discount Daaa-ble Check guy” and they were able to upgrade to “grill class” because of the money they saved by using State Farm.
The spot ends with Rodgers stuck between Smigel and Wendt as the classic “Saturday Night Live” characters pull back their trays to reveal brats on a grill.
And how will Carl and Bob pass the time after polishing off their brats? Presumably by picking up their copies of “Ditka Quarterly” and “Bratwurst Aficionado.”
