BOURBONNAIS — Another day of practice meant more injuries for the Bears — none bigger than linebacker D.J. Williams.
Williams, who was signed to replace Brian Urlacher at middle linebacker, was carted off the field Wednesday because of a calf injury and is considered week-to-week.
Williams’ injury is worse than left tackle Jermon Bushrod’s right calf strain. Bushrod sat out practice and was still wearing a walking boot.
Rookie linebacker Jon Bostic took Williams’ spot on the first-team defense during team drills.
Offensive tackle Jonathan Scott and defensive lineman Jamaal Anderson sat out practice with right knee soreness.
Cornerback Tim Jennings was excused from practice on Wednesday.
Brandon Marshall, as expected, fully participated, while defensive end Cheta Ozougwu (hamstring) took part in individual drills after sitting out with Marshall on Monday.
