The Bears didn’t waste much time, agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with linebacker D.J. Williams, according to two league sources.
Williams, 30, was released after the season, along with former Bears quarterback Caleb Hanie. A long-time starter for the Denver Broncos, Williams has 20 1/2 career sacks, and he’s forced 13 career fumbles.
The Bears elected to part ways with Brian Urlacher Wednesday evening, and they may yet sign another linebacker, as well.
