Jordan Lynch will take part in the Bears’ local pro day Friday, throwing for his favorite childhood team and talking with officials who have tracked his Heisman Trophy finalist career at Northern Illinois.
“It’s the team you grew up watching,” he told the Sun-Times. “You’re kinda overhyped and anxious.”
He’s excited to be doing quarterback drills — “I’m a quarterback first,” he said — though the Bears, like other pro teams, might be intrigued by his potential versatility.
Lynch trained in Indianapolis for almost two months, but has stayed in DeKalb since his March 7 pro day to throw with receivers. He’s worked on taking snaps from under center — something he was rarely asked to do at NIU.
