Northwestern failed to score a touchdown in regulation for the second consecutive game in a 30-6 loss to Michigan State on Saturday in Evanston.
With the loss, Northwestern can’t become bowl-eligible. The Wildcats have lost seven in a row since going 4-0 in nonconference play.
Kain Colter left the game after Northwestern’s second series when he suffered a helmet-to-helmet hit after catching a pass from quarterback Trevor Siemian. He didn’t return.
Colter started the game at quarterback. The play was his first at receiver in the game.
