CHICAGO — Milton Doyle was 10-of-13 from the floor, including a trio of 3-pointers, for a career-high 24 points to lead Loyola Chicago to an 83-65 victory over Rockhurst Tuesday night.

Doyle got a lot of help from Christian Thomas, who chipped in 18 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Doyle hit a 3-pointer and a jumper to get Loyola Chicago (2-2) out to a quick 5-0 lead, which they never relinquished. They were ahead 10-0 when Kareem Amendu hit a jumper in the paint for Rockhurst’s initial score at the 16:17 mark.

Another triple by Doyle stretched the lead to 26-9 with 9:33 remaining in the first period. The Ramblers held a 41-30 advantage at the half. The Ramblers were 15-of-28 from the field in the first half and improved to 17-of-30 in the second to finish with 55.2% shooting.

Loyola Chicago outrebounded Rockhurst (2-2) 38 to 22.
