Notre Dame offered a football scholarship to wide receiver Cordell Broadus, the son of rapper Snoop Lion (also known as Snoop Dogg), according to a tweet from his high school coach.
“RECRUITING NEWS: Cordell Broadus was offered by Notre Dame today. #GoIrish!” Diamond Bar (Calif.) High School football coach Ryan Maine tweeted Thursday.
The 6-foot-3 Broadus is a four-star recruit for the Class of 2015, according to Rivals.com.
Notre Dame’s roster already includes Corey Robinson (son of former Spurs great David Robinson), Torii Hunter Jr. (son of Detroit Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter), Austin Collinsworth (son of former NFL wide receiver and NBC broadcaster Cris Collinsworth) and walk-on Jesse Bongiovi (son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi).
