Notre Dame picks up 4-star receiver for 2014

Notre Dame picked up its second four-star wide receiver commitment for the Class of 2014 Wednesday.

Corey Holmes, a 6-foot-2, 174-pound receiver from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., announced on Twitter that he had orally committed to the Irish.

“Officially committed to the University of Notre Dame #GoIrish,” Holmes tweeted.

Holmes is the 15th member of Notre Dame’s Class of 2014. He picked Notre Dame over UCLA.

Among wide receivers, Holmes is ranked No. 31 nationally for the Class of 2014, according to Rivals.com He is ranked No. 228 overall nationally and No. 31 for players in Florida.

Holmes joins Justin Brent of Indianapolis as wide receivers orally committed to Notre Dame for 2014.
