Sloppy UIC annihilated by Detroit

DETROIT — Ray McCallum scored 25 points, and Detroit built a whopping 39-point halftime lead on its way to a 98-47 rout Saturday of UIC.
Jason Calliste added 20 points for the Titans (12-7, 4-2 Horizon League), who made 61 percent of their shots in the first half and led 53-14 at the break. Detroit made more three-pointers in the first half (eight) than the Flames made field goals (six).
UIC (11-8, 2-4) helped the Titans’
cause by making only 25 percent of their shots in the first half and committing 13 turnovers before the break. For the game, the Flames committed 21 turnovers.
Gary Talton led UIC with 11 points.
