MADISON, Wis.—Illinois was able to hang around for three quarters, but Wisconsin finally pulled away for a 31-14 victory Saturday.
The Illini (2-4, 0-2 Big Ten) trailed 10-7 after three quarters, but a nine-yard run by Montee Ball and a 59-yard reception by Jared Abbrederis gave the Badgers (4-2, 1-1) a 24-7 lead with 11:40 left in the game.
Illinois travels to Michigan next week. The Badgers play at Purdue.
