Mike Tyson was one of the most dominant heavyweight champions of all time.
But one fighter Iron Mike couldn’t get past? Glass Joe.
Tyson was recently asked by TMZ about his skills playing “Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!” a landmark boxing video game released by Nintendo in 1987, the year Tyson became the undisputed heavyweight champion.
“I couldn’t even beat Glass (expletive) Joe,” Tyson said. “I couldn’t beat Glass Joe. I couldn’t even play the game.”
For those who didn’t play, Glass Joe was the first and weakest fighter a player faced when playing “Punch-Out!!” In the game, Joe’s record was shown to be 1-99.
But in the green room at the Fox Sports 1 studios, Tyson was given a chance to get revenge on Monday.
Though a video posted on the Fox web site shows Glass Joe taking it to the champ, Tyson says he got in the final blow.
“Green room @foxsports1 playing #miketysonpunch and beat Glass Joe. First time,” Tyson tweeted.
