PHOENIX -- Diana Taurasi scored the game's first six points to fuel a 22-2 opening run, and the Phoenix Mercury routed the Sky 90-70 Wednesday night.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Trailing by 13 points early in the fourth quarter Tuesday night, the Sky trimmed the margin to four but could get no closer and lost to the Monarchs 83-73.
Why can't the Sky win on the road? Coach Steven Key hopes to have an answer by the time the team returns to Chicago this week after a two-game road trip. The Sky visits the Sacramento Monarchs tonight and travels to Phoenix to play the Mercury on Wednesday. The Sky (6-4) has won one game on the road this season -- in Atlanta on June 23 -- and is 1-4 away from home. But the team is 5-0 at the Pavilion.
SAN ANTONIO -- On a night when Sky center Sylvia Fowles didn't enter the game because of a sore right knee, the San Antonio Silver Stars pushed past the Sky 85-72 on Friday.
