Trio paces Sky victory

WASHINGTON — Sylvia
Fowles scored 23 points, Epi-
phanny Prince 20 and Cathrine Kraayeveld 19, including a career-high six three-pointers, to carry the Sky to an
84-77 victory Saturday against the Washington Mystics.
The Sky (2-1) shot 60 percent from the field (30-for-50) and never trailed. It led 51-33 at halftime and 66-57 after three quarters before the Mystics (1-2) launched a late rally.
A jumper by Marissa Coleman pulled the Mystics to 75-72 with 3:18 left, but they would get no closer. Sky rookie Courtney Vandersloot followed with a three-pointer, and the Sky went 6-for-8 from the free-throw line in the last 1:52 to seal the victory.
Matee Ajavon led the Mystics with 24 points, and Coleman added 13.
Fowles scored 14 points and Kraayeveld and Prince 12 each in the first half. The Sky had 14 assists on its 18 first-half baskets.
