Bulls guard Derrick Rose has teamed up with Chicago-based Giordano’s pizza to become an equity owner and national spokesperson.
“I’m proud to call Chicago my hometown and I’ve grown up with my family eating Giordano’s pizza,” Rose said in a statement released by the pizza company, which began in 1974. “I’ve always loved Giordano’s, so this was a uniquely personal opportunity for me.”
Rose will soon begin appearing in Giordano’s ads, promotions and charity events, as he becomes the first nationally recognized celebrity to partner with the pizza company.
“I’ve always been a big fan of their stuffed pizzas,” Rose said. “I’m working right now on my own signature pizza that we plan to introduce very soon. I’m actually pretty good in the kitchen.”
Wonder if Rose’s recipe will include hot sauce?
