Bulls sign top pick Marquis Teague

The Bulls signed first-round draft pick Marquis Teague, the team announced Wednesday. The Bulls took Teague with the 29th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
The Indianapolis native comes to Chicago following a successful freshman year at Kentucky. Teague was one of two Wildcats to start all 40 games, as Kentucky posted a record of 38-2 en route to the 2012 NCAA National Championship. While with the Wildcats, Teague (6-2, 189) averaged 10.0 ppg, 4.8 apg (2nd in the SEC) and 2.5 rpg in 32.6 mpg. He also shot .412 from the field, .325 from behind the arc and .714 from the line. His 191 assists are the second-most assists by a freshman in UK history.
Teague will wear number 25.
