When Dennis Rodman returned from another visit to North Korea earlier this month, he said his attempt at “basketball diplomacy” should be taken seriously by President Obama.
“People think this is a gimmick. I would love to make this a gimmick . . . but it’s not about the money,” Rodman said.
But in light of his new commercial for pistachios, it’s harder to believe the former NBA wild child.
In the spot, Rodman (with pistachio-green hair) sits next to an actor dressed like North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
Rodman declares, “The secret to world peace is…pistachios,” before the Kim impersonator presses a red button on his chair, vaporizing Rodman.
“Dennis Rodman does it because he’s nuts,” says a voiceover.
And Rodman wonders why Obama hasn’t called.
