Andrea Bargnani scored 28 points, Chris Bosh had 21 points and 16 rebounds, and the Raptors overcame LeBron James' 25th career triple-double to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-91 on Wednesday night in Toronto.
James had 23 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, but Cleveland opened its season with consecutive losses for the first time since starting 0-3 in 2004-05. James scored 38 in Tuesday's 95-89 home loss to Boston.
Mo Williams finished with 16 points, and Shaquille O'Neal scored 12 for Cleveland, which had won nine of 10 from Toronto. Hedo Turkoglu had 12 in his Raptors debut.
Kevin Garnett had 10 points and seven rebounds over 26 easy minutes in his return to the Boston parquet, and the Celtics held the Charlotte Bobcats to a franchise-low in scoring with a 92-59 victory. Ray Allen (18 points) was the only Boston starter to play in the fourth quarter.
Kevin Durant had 25 points and 11 rebounds, Jeff Green added 24 points and Oklahoma City led from start to finish in a 102-89 victory over visiting Sacramento in a season opener for both teams.
The Thunder hit 10 of its first 13 shots to build a double-digit lead in the first six minutes of the game, and then never let Sacramento mount a serious comeback in Paul Westphal's debut as coach.
The Thunder signed former Bull Thabo Sefolosha to a four-year contract extension.
Dwyane Wade began defense of his NBA scoring title with 26 points, Jermaine O'Neal finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and host Miami kicked off its season with a 115-93 rout of the Knicks.
New starting power forward Michael Beasley scored 21 for the Heat, which shot 9-for-25 in the first quarter -- and then an amazing 26-for-31 in the next 20 minutes on the way to building an 85-59 lead.
Rookie Jonny Flynn scored 13 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to help Minnesota erase a 19-point deficit, and Damien Wilkins' putback at the buzzer lifted Minnesota past the visiting New Jersey Nets 95-93.
The Timberwolves trailed by 16 points with less than seven minutes to play -- but with Flynn scoring 11, Minnesota closed the game on a 24-6 run to steal the victory.
Brook Lopez had 27 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks for the Nets, but he didn't score in the final quarter.
Tony Parker scored 17 points before leaving the game in the third quarter following a hard fall after a slicing layup, and the San Antonio Spurs -- who will take on the Bulls tonight at the United Center -- downed the visiting Hornets 113-96.
Chris Paul led all scorers with 26 points, and Emeka Okafor had 18 points and 10 rebounds in his Hornets debut.
Richard Hamilton scored 25 points, Ben Gordon added 22, and Detroit ran away from host Memphis 96-74 in the season opener for both teams. The two guards were a combined 17-for-31 from the floor -- and that was after Hamilton started the game missing 5 of his first 6 shots.
Steve Nash scored 15 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, when he rallied visiting Phoenix to a 109-107 season-opening victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. Marcus Camby (23 points) and Chris Kaman (22) led the Clippers, and Eric Gordon added 16 but missed a potential winning three in the closing seconds.
Carmelo Anthony's game-high 30 points powered the Nuggets past the Jazz 114-105 in a season opener in Denver. Deron Williams had a big game for Utah as he finished with 28 points and 13 assists.
