White Sox catcher Ramon Castro suffers broken right hand

White Sox catcher Ramon Castro suffered a broken right hand Saturday in his team's game against the Minnesota Twins when he was hit receiving a pitch from Mark Buehrle in the eighth inning.

Castro left the game immediately and was replaced by A.J. Pierzynski behind the plate.

Pierzynski doubled leading off the ninth inning and eventually scored the winning run on an Alexei Ramirez single with two outs for a 4-3 Sox victory, ending a four-game losing streak.

It wasn't immediately clear how much time Castro, the team's back-up catcher, will miss.
