On the mound: Phil Humber pitched three scoreless innings and Gregory Infante two against the Rangers, who roughed up Brandon Hynick for five runs in one inning. Gavin Floyd allowed a run and three hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Diamondbacks.
At the plate: Lastings Milledge, who is trying to win a spot as an extra outfielder, showed his speed when he singled and scored from first on Omar Vizquel’s double against the Rangers. Brent Lillibridge, who will get more time in the outfield soon, had a double and an RBI against the Rangers. Gordon Beckham went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI against the Diamondbacks. Alexei Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple against the Diamondbacks.
