White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez tied Frank Thomas’ club record 15-game hitting streak to start a season Wednesday night when he clubbed his fourth home run of the season against Red Sox right-hander Clay Buchholz.

Ramirez’ homer, which landed in the Sox bullpen beyond left field, came during the sixth inning with two outs and Adam Dunn on third and gave the Sox a 3-1 lead.

The streak ties Ramirez’ career high of 15 set in 2010.
