DENVER – Felipe Paulino failed to last five innings, and the White Sox had no answer for the Jordan Lyles – as a hitter and a pitcher – as the Colorado Rockies cruised to an 8-1 victory over the White Sox on Monday night at Coors Field.

Paulino pitched 4 2/3 innings, giving up six runs on nine hits and four walks. He struck out two.

Carlos Gonzalez homered against Paulino (0-1) in the first inning.

Alexei Ramirez drove in the only run for the Sox with a double against Lyles, who gave up one run over 6 1/3 innings. Lyles was 3-for-3 with two RBIs at the plate.

The Sox fell to 3-4.
