The White Sox saw their three game winning streak end Saturday in a lopsided 10-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
But more troubling was the exit of starter Gavin Floyd (0-4), who suffered a strained flexor muscle in his right elbow and left the game in the third.
Floyd suffered the same problem last year, going on the disabled list in August. He also was on the disabled list last July with elbow tendinitis.
Rays starter Matt Moore improved to 5-0 with six innings of work, giving up only an Adam Dunn home run in the fourth, Dunn’s fifth of the season.
Moore, 23, leads the majors with a 1.13 ERA.
The Rays had 19 hits off Sox pitching.
