The White Sox will open the 2013 season at home against the Kansas City Royals on April 1, former manager Ozzie Guillen and the Miami Marlins will play at U.S. Cellular Field on May 24-26, and the Cubs will play four consecutive games against the Sox in late May.

Those are the some of the highlights of next season’s tentative schedule released on Wednesday.

The Cubs-Sox series will be short and sweet. Two games will be played at U.S. Cellular Field on May 27-28 and two at Wrigley Field on May 29-30.

Interleague play includes April 9-11 dates at the Washington Nationals, and the Sox will play a home-and-home series against the New York Mets and visit the Philadelphia Phillies on July 12-14 prior to the All-Star break. The Sox host the Atlanta Braves on July 19-21.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the Sox will play the Brewers at Milwaukee’s Miller Park in two exhibition games on March 29-30.

The Sox close their season at home on Sept. 26-29 against the Royals.
