Who will be your next Chicago Cubs manager? Well, we know it won’t be Ryne Sandberg.
New Cubs president Theo Epstein roundly shot down that notion with his statement on Wednesday after the Mike Quade firing.
What we do know, judging from what transpired on Wednesday, is that Epstein will act quickly and decisively in naming a new manager; the process won’t drag on.
His short list of interviewees is rapidly forming as reports trickle in: Dale Sveum, Pete Mackanin and Mike Maddux.
But what about Terry Francona?
