At the plate: Jeff Baker’s two-out single in the bottom of the 10th drove in the game-winner against the Dodgers in Las Vegas. Carlos Pena had two hits, including his second homer in three days, to go with pitcher Braden Looper’s two hits against the Diamondbacks in Scottsdale.
On the mound: Carlos Zambrano allowed one run — on a two-out single by Rafael Furcal in his final inning — during another strong five innings in the Vegas game. Looper had his best outing of the spring in Scottsdale, going 32/3 innings without a walk before his pitch count ran out.
