THREE
AND OUT

1. Coverage gaffe

At the beginning of the second quarter, Jerrel Jernigan returned a Robbie Gould kick 46 yards. Bears rookie Jonathan Bostic looked to have the play covered but was chipped at the last second and stumbled enough that Jernigan was able to get into the open field.

2. Did you see?

Giants safety Will Hill was called for unnecessary roughness when he hit Jay Cutler in the head with his hands on Cutler’s nine-yard scramble at the beginning of the third quarter.

3. Back on track

After a horrendous game in Detroit on Sept. 29, punter Adam Podlesh rebounded with a pair of solid games. All three of Podlesh’s punts Thursday pinned the Giants inside their own 20 and none was returned. New York’s average starting position was on their own 18.
