CINCINNATI — Cubs games are starting to look more and more like the back of a shampoo bottle:

Take early lead. Lose late. Repeat.

On Saturday, the Cubs’ most effective pitcher, Travis Wood, took a one-run lead into the sixth inning before his old Cincinnati Reds teammates rallied to score four and knock him out of the game. Wood took the loss in a 5-2 decision at Great American Ball Park.

Wood didn’t complete six innings for the first time this season, and the Cubs lost their sixth in a row. They’re 0-5 on a six-game trip through Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
