MILWAUKEE – If the Cubs ever get this rebuilding thing done to their satisfaction, they can make a video of Saturday’s fifth and sixth innings to demonstrated how not to play the game.

Until then, the Cubs Way 2013 was alive and not-so-well in a three-error game the Cubs lost 5-1 to the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.

The Cubs committed two errors in a two-run Brewers fifth in which they would have had another error if Anthony Rizzo hadn’t managed to salvage a muffed grounder for one out – and in which the Brewers scored twice despite failing to get a hit.

The Cubs added another error in the sixth when pitcher Edwin Jackson threw a would-be inning-ending double-play ball into center field, helping lead to another pair of runs.
